Effortlessly Moving Out of Our Own Way

Happy Tuesday, loves.

After taking a much-needed self-care pause, I’m back to teaching and guiding meditations—and my cup feels genuinely full again. Coming back into my work with a rested mind and nourished spirit reminded me of just how transformative intentional rest can be.

This week, a mantra has been echoing through my practice, my thoughts, and honestly my whole life:

“I move effortlessly out of my own way.”

And wow… what a shift this one sentence creates.

As we round the corner into the holiday season and approach the end of this beautifully chaotic year, it feels like the perfect moment to revisit those intentions we set months ago. Maybe many of your goals unfolded with ease (some of mine certainly have). Or maybe you’re standing right on the edge of something powerful, something aligned, something magical—but you can feel that tiny something holding you back.

Here’s the spoiler:
Sometimes the thing in our way… is us.

Dressed as a mime for halloween- the boxes we create for ourselves show up in many different ways. It's up to us to break free of these boxes

I think about how many dreams could be realized, how much joy could be embodied, how much more you you could become if you softened just a little and let yourself move out of your own way. We’re often our own harshest critics. We’re the ones whispering limiting beliefs. We’re the ones building walls that were never needed in the first place.

So the question becomes:
How can we turn down that voice?
How can we dissolve those walls?
How can we step aside and allow our fullest selves to come forward—effortlessly?

In my own practice this week, as I flowed through shapes and breathed into that intention, I could literally feel weight melting off my shoulders. Barriers I didn’t even know I was holding onto started to soften. And the most beautiful part? I watched my students shedding layers too. People left class lighter than they arrived—that is always the most heart-expanding win for me.

Like any deep internal practice, this isn’t a one-and-done shift. It’s something I return to daily. And if you want to explore this energy with me, below are a few ways you can join me in practice—online, in Colorado, or even in Chicagoland this week.

Wherever you are in your own journey—rising, resting, resisting, or releasing—I hope this week gives you a little moment to ask:

What happens when I stop getting in my own way?

With love, light, and limitless possibility,
Aza Rose

Colorado Classes + New Year’s Offerings

While subbing at a few studios around Northern Colorado, I’ve been tuning into where “Yoga with Aza” feels most at home. I’m hoping to settle into a new long-term studio space by the end of the year—stay tuned for that reveal.

I’ve also reached out about scheduling my Annual Intention-Setting New Year’s Hypnotic Meditation, and once the space is confirmed, you’ll be the first to know.
